The Executive Leadership Programme (the “ELP”) is uniquely designed for you to develop these two critical executive capabilities – leadership and strategy.

The Weave ELP has assembled a diverse range of speakers that are leaders in their fields. This is not a run of the mill leadership programme!
Peer learning at its most powerful
Stimulating, dynamic and interactive peer learning enables you to distil what you have heard from industry experts, share your experiences, hear from others, and then apply the insights to your own leadership context – for the benefit of you, your people, and your business.
A format built around your life and work commitments
Over 26 weeks, you will participate 10 scheduled half-day expert-led, peer learning sessions and three one-hour one-on-one executive coaching sessions via Teams at a time that suits you. This enables you to fit the Weave ELP in and around your existing life and work commitments and apply the learning progressively in real time during and beyond the programme. Pre-work is kept to a minimum and there are no assessed projects or extensive reading required.
World-class executive coaching
You will have three one-hour one-on-one executive coaching sessions at the beginning, middle, and end of the programme to ensure you get the most from your professional development experience and apply what you learn into your own leadership and strategic organisational context.
Become a member of the Weave Community
A graduates of the Weave ELP become members of the Weave Community. The Weave Community brings together Weave Business Leaders Group members, speakers, ELP Faculty and ELP graduates for occasional networking and keynote events.
Two formats, same content
Our face-to-face format is delivered in Auckland. For those outside Auckland who are unable to commit to regular travel, we have a hybrid option that mixes face-to-face and online virtual classroom delivery.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE ELP?
The Weave ELP is a 26-week Programme featuring ten expert-led sessions and three executive coaching sessions
Session 1 - Who am I as a Leader?
Understand your natural strengths as a leader and how others’ strengths can complement yours. Grow your self-awareness and understand the importance of self-regulation and resilience. Understand the impact that you may have on others.
Between Sessions 1 and 2 you will undertake a 360-degree feedback and debrief this with your executive coach. Together with the insights from Session 1, set your leadership development goals for the Programme.
Session 2 – Empower and Grow People You Lead
Understand the benefits and develop the skills to empower and grow the people you lead by taking a coaching approach to your leadership to positively impact accountability and performance. Understand how the energy you bring is a key enabler or disabler of your influence and impact.
Session 3 – Creating an Engaging Culture for Everyone
New Zealand has some of the most diverse workplaces in the world – cultures, generations, and identity. Grow your understanding of diverse workplaces and your leadership role in creating a sense of belonging for all to thrive.
Session 4 - Managing and Influencing Up Effectively
Understand the role of Boards, how they are different from the role of Owners and the influence of both on the expectations of the CEO to skillfully establish and maintain effective and well-regarded professional relationships.
Between Sessions 4 and 5 you will undertake your second executive coaching session to review progress towards your goals and distil insights from your learning that you can apply in your workplace.
Session 5 – Thinking and Acting Strategically
Understand how to think strategically, what the core elements of a compelling strategy are and how to play the role of a strategic leader. Through this lens, we will explore three critical macro strategic influences in sessions 6-8.
Session 6 – When Revolutions Collide
Understand the unstoppable strategically significant forces reshaping the world of business in today’s ever-changing environment. Learn how to identify and navigate ambiguity and complexity.
Session 7 - Te ao Māori and your organisation
Explore what Te ao Māori means for your business, your suppliers and your customers. Understand how and why Māori culture and language are good for business’s strategy and what cultural competencies are required to deliver commercial, brand and stakeholder value.
Session 8 – Harnessing AI
AI is everywhere. Understand how to strategically harness the power of AI for the benefit of your business.
Session 9 – Why Strategies Fail – The Importance of Organisational Alignment, Competencies, Culture and Managing Change.
Most strategies fail on implementation. Understand the key points of failure to avoid and develop the knowledge to implement strategy successfully by aligning and integrating everything your organisation does, ensuring your organisation has the right competencies and culture to execute, and effectively manage change.
Between Sessions 9 and 10 you will undertake your final executive coaching session to distil your insights and learning to set goals for your future as a leader.
Session 10 – Becoming Extraordinary
Hear one of New Zealand’s leading CEO’s share their development journey and the lessons they have learned along the way to inspire your future.
Your leadership journey does not end with the Weave ELP. It is just the beginning.
